At first glance I thought this website was just an average everyday informational site for teachers. At second glance, TeacherTube offers hundreds of online supplemental videos to help students learn just about anything.

In addition, TeacherTube has 11 programmable channels for teachers to upload videos to supplement just about every kind of student projects or lessons. The channels include technology, professional development, history, science, math, and much more.

Similar to the popular YouTube, videos at TeacherTube can be rated, shared or embedded on other sites. Users can also post comments.

TeacherTube has been officially up and running since March 6, 2007. Their purpose is to provide an online community for sharing instructional videos and resources. Teachers can use this free-web-based technology tool to help anyone, including kids with learning disabilities understand basic or advanced learning concepts in the classroom.

On one site I viewed students can learn their multiplication tables Hip Hop style with Ms Robinson. This dance video helps illustrate the multiplication tables from 1 through 12. You easily see the attraction to learning multiplication tables in this new hip hop video format.

Dissect a CAT
Squeamish children no longer need to actually dissect a cat. Teachers can use videos like this to supplement any science class. There are many opportunities for students to take notes.

The Preamble
School House Rock Preamble! Think of the possibilities.

Lets face it, without a sites like this- it would simply be the traditional boring textbook instruction. Kids and teachers now have the option use this free technology everyday.

Nicole,
I went to visit that site and saw the videos you were talking about and got some great ideas. The problem is that the site is blocked at our school, but I did look at it at home. The school has alot of blocks that we sometimes just can't get around.

You absolutely amaze me. You always find great examples for technology in the classroom. This, again is a great resource for, not only teachers, but students alike. I enjoy this site and I feel that this has an ample amount of information that is critical for the success in a learning environment.
